A steam fire engine may not have been the fastest to the fire…… you'd have to get up a head of steam first during which time the house has burnt down! If you ask me a horse is quicker. But this is the world of dreams and imagination. This Mamod exciting Fire Engine will entertain and educate (so long as you don't mind it spitting steam and water everywhere). I'm sure you wouldn't be looking here if you preferred computer games as a past-time so I think it's safe to say you are the person who will just go bananas when you get this great historic Fire Engine in your hands.

The model uses the standard chassis with front-mounted boiler and mid-mounted oscillating engine, but the rear body carries a Fire_engine#Turntable_ladder, complete with exposed cranking wheels. The model is painted bright red with polished chromework, and is similar in appearance to fire engine produced by Leyland in the 1920s.
