A beautiful piece of engineering. We like this whistle. A great price and a really nice assembly. Mamod whistles have been successfully part of many different Mamod steam engines for many years. There is just one thing to be aware of - they do get hot and it is best to use a cloth for steam protection when operating.

Please note, that owing to occasional supply issues at Mamod you may receive one made by MSS Steam Models which has the same performance as those made by Mamod Ltd. You will see that the operating lever will have a brass nut and screw rather than an eyelet fixing. See picture.

Tip to save you a lot of heartache:

Oil the whistle thread every so often to avoid it getting fused in place over the years. What happens then is that any excess twisting force will break the collar/boiler seal. Big problem!
